Sore Hocks (Pododermatitis)
At 15–25 lbs, Flemish Giants exert enormous pressure on their feet. Sore hocks are nearly universal in the breed without proper soft flooring. Severe cases involve deep tissue infection requiring prolonged antibiotic treatment, bandaging, and in worst cases, amputation.
